| | I received the replacement DVR this evening. Unplugged the old one, re-cabled the entire thing, turned it on and . . . same error as the one I am returning.
"A serious error has occurred with your hard drive"
So once again I call tech support. Only this time, it is going to take 5 days to get my replacement and here is the kicker. They offered me. . . wait for it. . . a whole $5 credit for my time and trouble. 5 whole dollars!?!?!?
Well why don't I just run out and celebrate. The send me a defective DVR and I have no recording available, and I get $5 back.
Looks like DirectTV is getting a phone call in the AM.
